The club and Warrigal share a long relationship working and supporting each other, with many Warrigal residents and customers being active members and supporters of the club.
The MOU event signaled the start of a mutually supportive engagement process with customers of both Warrigal and Warilla Bowls.
Warrigal CEO, Mark Sewell said the principles of both the club and Warrigal were aligned.
“We are excited to be able to work with community partners such as the Warilla Bowls Club to achieve greater social outcomes for our customers and those of the bowling club members and local community," he said.
Warrigal’s philosophy is built around providing older people with the opportunity to "be themselves" through feeling connected, happy, respected and independent.
Warrigal are also advocates of its customers and residents experiencing fun, freedom and fitness through community activities, clubs and meaningful relationships.
Warilla Bowling Club CEO, Phillip Kipp also acknowledged the common values of both organisations and the need to support local clubs to the wider community.
Mr Kipp said many local clubs in the region had fallen “along the wayside” and struggled to maintain community support and strong membership.
