This is the first of the four "Grand Prix" carnivals held in the zone each season, the others being St Georges Basin, Lake Illawarra and Shoalhaven.
The venue is John O'Dwyer Oval, at the Croom Regional Sporting Complex, Albion Park Rail.
The carnival starts at 8.45am, with entries accepted on the day.
The carnivals are great practice for the zone championships which will be hosted by our club at Kiama in December.
The Kiama centre has a new website this season. Also, this season Kiama Little Athletics has partnered with Melbourne-based company Timing Solutions to implement a new system.
"ResultsHQ" is an online application developed to help centres reduce administration tasks and manage their track and field results more efficiently.
The website still features the popular sections such as "athlete of the week" and photos of kids in action.
Also a reminder that this season athletes in the under-9 age group are not permitted to wear spike shoes in any event.
Next season this rule will be extended to include the under-10 age group.
Congratulations to Ewan Bell and Jake Cleal-Cook, who have both set new club records in the under-17 boys already this season, and here's hoping for many more as the season progresses.
A friendly reminder children who are not registered cannot take part in any little athletics events.
