Shellharbour canines will get a new "leash" on life for the event which will unfurl at Reddall Parade this Sunday, October 26.
Hosted by Shellharbour City Council, the event aims to bring together people and their pets in a "pawsitive", happy environment.
Initiator of the Dog's Day Out and Shellharbour councillor Helen Stewart, said the day was designed to highlight the importance of responsible pet ownership.
"It is a venue where both dogs and owners can connect allowing social interaction," Cr Stewart said.
"Shellharbour council have adopted the Companion Animal Management Plan and strongly promote responsible pet ownership."
Cr Stewart said the proceeds from the day will go towards DCH Animal Adoptions.
Free microchipping will be available on the day as well as a dog walk, dog agility demonstrations, competitions and a variety of product stalls to pamper the family pooch.
