Organised by the Illawarra Regional Rose Society, the show is one of the longest running rose shows in NSW and will feature rose and other garden displays.
"Probably the only show that is older than us that is still going is the State Rose Society's show and we've had plenty of people tell us anecdotally that we're the best show in the state," show steward Robert Curll said.
"To take out the A Grade title at the show is a pretty big thing and we get entries coming in from all over."
The show will be held in the Jamberoo School of Arts.
"The whole hall will be filled with displays.
Being the 40th year it's a bit of big year and we think it's going to be a big show," Mr Curll said.
"We've got a fairly big range of categories; all the grades, floral art and then all the miscellaneous ones as well like miniature roses and that sort of thing."
The show will also feature displays of different garden wares and ornaments.
The show will be opened by rose expert Lynn Hunt - a horticultural judge- and will be held at the Jamberoo School of Arts from noon-5pm on Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday.
Entries close at 7pm tomorrow and can be made by phoning 4236 0158 or 0408 420 596.
