Held in Scone over the weekend of October 11-12, the challenge involved the premiers from League Tag competitions from throughout the state as well as invited wildcard sides.
Despite going down to Milton-Ulladulla earlier this year in the Group 7 Women's League Tag grand final, the Knights secured one of the 16 spots in the tournament after the Bulldogs were unable to take part.
Kiama coach Darren Pan said his side was happy to participate in the tournament.
"Obviously it was a bit of a disappointing way to end the year after we lost the grand final, but the way it worked out with Milton not being able to take part turned out to be good for us," he said.
"It was a really good level of competition and a really high standard of play in attack and defence. To win the inaugural competition is a pretty good thing for the girls."
The Knights moved through the pool stage with relative ease, allowing only three tries against them as they beat North Tamworth 10-4, Dubbo Westside 28-6 and Scone 26-4.
They had a scare in the semi-final, but a gutsy comeback saw them knock off Wauchope 8-6.
The qualifying final featured a rematch with North Tamworth, whereby Kiama came out on top again, 16-6.
The Knights met Group 20's Leeton Galloping Greens in the finals, and after falling behind they ran in three straight tries to win.
