Nine districts from throughout NSW competed in a five-day round robin tournament.
All nine regions played against each other to decide the best NSW regional team.
There was some spectacular football being played during an entertaining tournament.
Scouts from A-League sides Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers were present, the latter deciding to take one of the players from the Metro West team on view for trials.
As many onlookers noted, this tournament had been the closest for many years at this age group, which was only decided on the final day.
Previously there had been a runaway winner, but this year it went down to the wire.
Metro Far South (Sutherland Shire) eventually topped the table on the final day of proceedings; winning six of their eight games, drawing one (Metro East 1-1) and losing one against Metro Far North 0-2.
The secondary award for the best country team at the tournament went to Country Western, who won the Country Regional Team's Award over Riverina and the Southern Branch.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward presented all the winning medallions to the players.
The five-day tournament was touted as a huge success for the township, with more than 1100 visitors enjoying Kiama's hospitality.
