The world traveller and frontman of indie rock band Run Run Run will arrive in town to belt out his highly anticipated second album, Outside.
Following his debut album, Hey San Pedro, Outside is the result of a year of touring three continents, carting his laptop and beat-up Gibson J-45. His travels resulted in 10 new tracks featuring musicians from Manchester to Moscow.
The first single Say Anything features Bernard Sumner from Joy Division/New Order. Sumner is one of a swag of artists who have put their stamp on the record, including Phil Cunningham (New Order), Jack Mitchell (Johnny Marr Band/Haven), Tom Chapman (New Order/Rubberbear) and Douglas Palmer (Run Run Run).
Smith is finally able to visit Australia at the invitation of the Mona and Wave Rock Weekender Festivals.
Smith will perform this Wednesday at RAD Wollongong, from 7pm.
