The game looked like going to a penalty shootout before they scored their winning goal with just three minutes remaining.
It was a fabulous team effort from all concerned and what made the win more impressive was the fact that it was Olympic's first loss of the season. However, the Kiama team outplayed the minor premiers for long spells of the game and were deserved winners.
Congratulations to coach Steve O'Brien; it would have taken a surgeon to wipe the smile off his face at the conclusion of 120 minutes of end-to-end finals football.
The team also couldn't have done it without manager Phil Healey and the vocal parents who sang, chanted and cheered their way through the entire extra-time period.
