MAYOR Marianne Saliba is right (Lake Times, September 3) when she said paying for the City Hub has been factored into the council's future budgets and does not require an increase in revenue such as rates to make the loan repayments.

What Mayor Saliba didn't say was that there would be no increase in revenue such as rates and charges to fix the $40 million plus outstanding work needed in the city - such as roads and flooding in Albion Park, Albion Park Rail, Oak Flats and other areas.
It would be good to see our money spent on things that would make life a little better for all in Shellharbour.
I don't think the hub will do that.
