This prestigious event has rigorous qualifying standards and is the highlight of the winter swimming season for NSW swimmers.
The Kiama Swim Club was fortunate to have three individual swimmers and one relay team qualify.
Congratulations must go to Liam Williams, who swam sensational times in the 100 and 200-metre breastroke races to come 13th and 14th respectively in each event.
Liam has taken more than 15 seconds off his 200 metre time in the past three months.
Maddi Bakker was equally impressive, coming 15th in her 50-metre freestyle event with a blistering time under 28 seconds. She also was impressive in the 100- metre freestyle, coming 21st.
Marlo Lewis is developing into a fine butterfly swimmer and came 19th in the 50- metre fly.
Their super 12 years individual medley relay team of Sarah Williams, Taylah Boese, Marlo Lewis and Grace Mahon, who despite being either sick or recovering, swam a fabulous race to come 31st in NSW.
Thanks to coach Victor for mentoring the swimmers.
