The Magpies' overwhelming run of injuries means the young defender, a two-game rookie six months ago, will become the only player to line up in every game this season.
While Brent Macaffer was also on track for a full season, the midfielder is expected to undergo his second knee reconstruction in the next week after rupturing his ACL on the weekend. He will be joined in rehab by Matthew Scharenberg, who damaged his knee in just his fifth VFL game on Friday night, having overcome injuries to both feet this year.
Scans have shown Macaffer and Scharenberg are set for straightforward surgeries.
The Magpies are unlikely to regain any of Jamie Elliott (hamstring), Heritier Lumumba (corked thigh) or Alan Toovey (groin) for the game against the Hawks, and must replace Dane Swan and Clinton Young, who both suffered hamstring injuries on Saturday.
Patrick Karnezis is a chance to make his black-and-white debut after some strong VFL form, though he pulled up slightly sore after Friday's game.
Ben Kennedy, Paul Seedsman, Kyle Martin and Corey Gault are other potential inclusions, with Collingwood's VFL side set to feature just a handful of AFL-listed players in its weekend final.
It is not often that clubs reach the end of a season with so few start-to-finish players, though no Greater Western Sydney player has participated in all of the club's games this year.
Last year, West Coast, Gold Coast, Melbourne and GWS had just two players line up in every match. In 2012, only one player at Collingwood, Geelong and the Giants featured in every game.
While Quinten Lynch has resumed playing after breaking his leg, this season, he has told the Magpies he will retire at the end of the season after a 227-game career.
Lynch, a 2006 West Coast premiership player, joined Collingwood as a free agent at the end of 2012.
"I have enjoyed a wonderful ride," the 31-year-old forward said.
"The frustrations of this year have only been a small part of a long career I was never sure I would have.
"It was fantastic to enjoy success with the Eagles and to finish my career in Melbourne with the experience of playing on the MCG in front of big crowds for a wonderful club.
"I have a lot of people to thank at two clubs and, hopefully, a lot of teammates to catch up with on both sides of the country in the years to come."
