The 16-year-old is widely regarded as one of the sport's shining young stars and has already been accepted into the national Elite Development Program and has been involved in four one-day mini camps.
An active member of the Warilla-Barrack Point Surf Lifesaving Club since the age of seven, she is coached by legendary kayaking coach Terry Prosser. She trains most days through a variety of cross-fitness sessions to be ready for the Hopes regatta.
"I really can't thank the Sports Assistance Fund enough and appreciate the support they are giving not only to me, but also to other athletes," Bagnall said.
Sports Assistance Fund chairman Don Briggs congratulated her on her achievements to date and wished her every success in the future.
"It's tremendous to see someone so young taking part in such an important program as the Olympics Hopes and we will be keeping a very close eye on her progress," he said.
On her return from Slovakia, she will be taking part in the opening two rounds of the Race Sprint series at Penrith in September and October.
