The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership recognition program where Rotary Clubs and employers select young people who hold leadership positions, or have shown the potential to lead, either within the community or at work. It provides an opportunity to participate in a challenging week-long residential conference and will be held at the RYLA Academy from January 10-17, 2015 at The Tops Conference Centre, Stanwell Tops.

Kiama Lions
Lions activities ramp up in September. We have Driver Reviver, markets and the Hot Rod Show as well as helping with the displays for the annual Art Show. Our Fledgling Club from Shellharbour will be running the second hand Saturday as well. The Hot Road Show and Shine will be on September 14 and it promises to be great fun.
Kiama CWA
Kiama CWA will host a Rainbow Fashion Parade on Saturday, September 6, 1pm for a 1.30pm start at the CWA Hall, 70 Shoalhaven St. A scrumptious afternoon tea will be served afterwards.
Our next monthly meeting is our 76th birthday party on Tuesday, September 16, 11am, BYO lunch, and 1.30pm for our business meeting. Our birthday theme is 1938 food and dress. This will be a fun meeting and all visitors are welcome. Contact Ruth Cole on 4232 4963.
Kiama Men's Probus Club
Kiama Men's Probus meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month (except December) at 9.15am at Kiama Bowling & Recreation Club. Our next meeting is on August 27 and the guest speaker is Peter Clarke, a geologist who worked in the quarrying industry. He will speak about the geology of the Kiama District. Our own Ian Hornsby will also give a brief outline of his life. Any retired men in the community who would like to share the fun and fellowship with us will be made most welcome and should contact president Phil Lewis on 4236 0166 or just come along.
