About $35,000 was raised from the Illawarra leg of the national fund-raising event.
On August 12 the RSPCA NSW's Illawarra Volunteer Branch donated $10,000 from the proceeds of the walk to the state's Safe Beds for Pets program.
"We thank all those who supported the walk and have made it possible for us to make this donation and fulfil the commitment made by the local volunteer branch leading up to the walk," Illawarra Volunteer Branch president Ann Dewson said.
RSPCA NSW developed the Safe Beds for Pets program to help women and their children to leave domestic violence by providing emergency accommodation for their pets.
Some women say concerns for their pet's welfare see them stay in abusive situations.
Safe Beds for Pets community programs supervisor Sandra Ma thanked the branch for the much-needed funds.
"We are very grateful for the support from the Illawarra Volunteer Branch. It means we can help even more people in need," Ms Ma said.
