There was only one championship match last week, the first round of the men's triples. The team of A. Tarbert, M. Miller and W. Toulmin were too good for K. Condon, B. Hudson and W. Montifiore, taking out the match 28-19.
On the district front, Bronwyn Campbell reached the quarter-finals of the ladies district singles, beaten by S. Woods of Wiseman Park-Wollongong City.
On Tuesday the ladies played social bowls and the winners were V. Ryder, E. Egan, M. Walker and A. Evans with J. Baker, M. Minet and J. Tarbert runners-up. C. O'Neil, M. Walker and N. Brown won the ladies social on Thursday.
Men's social bowlers had good numbers during the week, and on Wednesday B. Weisel, J. Tomlinson and T. Martin were winners with B. Christensen, G. Bartrim and B. Hudson runners-up.
The Thursday men once again used up all available green space and T. Jones and R. Campbell won with C. Baker and S. Wills runners-up.
On Saturday we had six rinks of triples and the winning players were M. Kunzler, P. McBeath and G. Clarke with K. Thomas, R. Blakey and B. Rossiter runners-up.
