Last Thursday night Casey-lee, from Albion Park, lost control of her car on Boollwarroo Parade, Shellharbour and her vehicle struck a large tree.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, Casey-lee died on Friday after being flown to St George Hospital.

A private family funeral will be held this Friday.

The community have been invited to attend a celebration of Casey-lee's life at Shallows Beach at 2pm, after the funeral.

People who attend are asked to wear bright coloured clothes and bring colourful helium balloons to release into the sky to form a rainbow.

Casey-lee had planned to donate blood for the first time, to follow in her brother's footsteps.

In honour of this, Casey-lee's family and friends have organised a blood drive - starting on Tuesday and running until August 6. Buses will travel from Albion Park McDonald's, where Casey-lee worked, to Wollongong Hospital where participants can donate blood.

A Facebook page, called "Lets Do It In Casey's Honour. Donate Blood" has been created and further details about the blood drive are available on the page.

Police reported that Casey-lee's Suzuki and a Ford Falcon XR6 were seen travelling at speed through a 50km/h zone shortly before the crash.

It is understood the driver of the Falcon, a 22-year-old Warilla man, has spoken to police and is assisting with inquiries.
