VOLUNTEERS from the Kiama SES were called to help rescue a man who fell from his trail bike at Jamberoo on Saturday.

The man was riding on a rural property with friends when he fell and sustained injuries that left him unable to walk.
SES volunteers and paramedics were forced to carry the man across steep and challenging terrain before he was flown in a NSW Ambulance helicopter for further treatment.
“It was a challenging location at the top of a hill, and we needed to carry the man across loose rocks and a dry creek bed to take him to the ambulance helicopter,’’ Kiama
SES controller Warren Turner said.
It was the second rescue the Kiama SES was involved in over the weekend – they also rescued two people trapped in an elevator.
