Six young artists are displaying works created for their HSC during their final years at Warilla High and Oak Flats High School.
The 33 works include drawings, ink works, photography, paintings and etchings by Emma O'Neill, Brooke Anger, Jerrica Espinocilla, Zoe Forbes, Ashley Mormite and Liam Stobbie.
Mayor Marianne Saliba said the portfolios were "inspiring" and offered a unique insight into the perspective and talents of youth in the region.
"Each piece is evidence of the remarkable focus and skill that has been applied in generating these art works," Cr Saliba said.
"I encourage everyone to visit the exhibition and witness some of the vitality and diversity of our young people," she said.
The inaugural HSC Art Exhibition was launched last Wednesday at the SVES and will be open from 10am to 2pm today, and on Sunday, July 27.
The Shellharbour Village Exhibition Space is on the corner of Wentworth and Addison streets, opposite the Roo Theatre.
