An extraordinary meeting was called by councillors Peter Moran, Helen Stewart and Kellie Marsh, to discuss the details of a sale agreement between Stockland and Shellharbour City Council.
The proceeds of the Lamerton House sale are to go toward the Shellharbour City Hub development.
The meeting is to address councillor concerns, expressed last month, that all information on the agreement be made available to councillors, to ensure they make appropriate decisions on the hub proposal.
Cr Peter Moran said Lamerton House was an asset to council and due to its value, the sale should go to open tender to ensure they get the best market price. Cr Moran said he planned to ask questions on the details of the agreement at tonight's meeting.
"Having now read the agreement I am hoping to convince the other councillors that this is a bad deal," Cr Moran said.
The development application for the City Hub project has gone to the Joint Regional Planning Panel for determination.
