Bright sunshine, a glorious 47th floor perch and 360 degree views of the city make a pretty special backdrop for pretty jewellery, and the latest pieces from the Sabo stable sparkled on displays and the wrists of models Samantha Harris and Kate Peck and cricket WAG Kyly Clarke. They joined fashion media to watch the new Sabo campaign featuring ambassador Georgia May Jagger over a delectable two course luncheon, including starters of shaved serrano jamon stracciatella di bufala and slow roasted vegetable salad.
BRANDO SHOES CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
Footy boots were replaced with stylish gents’ footwear as AFL stars Adam Goodesand Jimmy Bartel and NRLlegend Beau Ryan celebrated the launch of their campaign for Brando shoes. The party was hosted at the campaign shoot location, Ivy Penthouse, and the boys were joined in the Playboy-style space by shoe addicts including stylist Donny Galella, Bondi Rescue’s Corey Oliver and singer Emma Birdsall.
ZETA BAR’S APRÈS SKI LAUNCH
For those unable to escape the city and head for the slopes, Zeta Bar at the Hilton has an elegant solution: an on-site après ski experience with candlelight, mulled wine, blazers and hot toddies and roasted chestnuts. Singer Casey Burgess, dancer Talia Fowler and Network Ten presenter Matt Doranmade themselves comfy round the fireplace.

Guests embraced the chance to shop while they partied in Cotton On’s Market Street store to tunes from guest DJ Danny Clayton. A global social movement celebrating the extraordinary in the everyday was launched over morning tea by ambassador Matt Moranat his restaurant, Chiswick. Founder Kim McDonnell has devised a website hub where people post their uplifting moments, and she asked guests including Jude and Lynette Bolton, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Layne Beachley and Kirk Pengilly to share theirs.
DISNEY ON ICE TREASURE TROVE VIP PARTY
Mickey and his mates on skates had a truckload of celebs and their little ones beaming with a meet n’ greet after the fantastic show at The Allphones Arena. Among the thrilled fans were David Koch, Jessica Rowe, former cricketer Nathan Bracken, fashion blogger Tash Sefton and singer/dancer Prinnie Stevens – plus the youngest members of their families.
JEANS FOR GENES 21ST BIRTHDAY
Held in brand new venue The Atrium at The Grounds of Alexandria, this birthday bash featured a denim installation with clotheslines, denim flowers – even denim manicures. Jeans for Genes aids the Children’s Medical Research Institute and in a first time initiative called 21 Days of Jeans for Genes a selection of Australian bloggers will upload jeans-inspired posts in the lead up to Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 1st August.
