Lake Illawarra Police have appealed to the public to contact them if they have any information which may assist in the investigation of a robbery at Shellharbour City.
About 6pm on June 26, two 13-year-old boys were walking through Urban Park, Shellharbour City.
The two victims were approached by a man, who grabbed their heads and banged them together.
One of the boys ran for assistance at a nearby shop.
The other boy ran across the road towards a surf store.
Once outside the surf store, the offender allegedly slammed one boy’s head into the ground.
The offender took that boy’s mobile phone.
A witness saw this alleged assault take place and notified the store manager to contact police.
The offender was last seen walking away down Minga Avenue towards Lake Entrance Drive.
The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 30 years old, thin build and dark hair.
An ambulance was called and conveyed one of the boys to the Shellharbour Hospital for precautionary examination as he had received a head knock.
This offender has not yet been arrested.

Man injured in accident – Warilla
Police are also appealing to the public to contact them if they have any information which may assist in the investigation of a motor vehicle accident on Monday night.
About 11pm, police attended an accident in Bradman Street, Warilla.
Upon attending the scene police observed that a car had collided with a power pole and that the driver, a 42-year-old man from Ambarvale was trapped.
The driver was slumped between the driver and passenger seat facing the rear passenger seats.
Police were able to confirm the driver was alive; however he was trapped by his legs.
The driver was removed by Police Rescue and the NSW Ambulance Service.
He was conveyed to Wollongong Hospital with a broken pelvis and air-lifted to St George Hospital.
Police are currently investigating.
Drivers collide with a cow on the Illawarra Highway, Tullimbar
About 6pm on Sunday, two vehicles were travelling in a generally easterly direction along the Illawarra Highway at Macquarie Pass.
At a point on the highway, the driver of the first vehicle, a 36-year-old woman from Engadine driving a Toyota Corolla, saw a large sized brown/black coloured cow in the middle of the roadway.
She swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid the cow, however she struck it.
She then managed to safely return her vehicle to the correct side of the road and pulled over a short distance later.
Meanwhile, a vehicle being driven by a 58-year-old Barrack Heights woman in a Holden Commodore said she saw the cow in the middle of the road, and did not have time to apply the brakes or brace for impact, colliding heavily with the cow.
This resulted in significant damage to her vehicle.
She then managed to manoeuvre her vehicle off the roadway and onto the grass embankment.
As a result of the collision the cow died on impact.
Police spoke with neighbouring farmers who could not identify the cow as one of their own.
They further stated that the cow could have come from as far as North Macquarie (Calderwood) due to the size of some adjoining properties.
Intoxicated young people moved on from train station
At 12.30am on Sunday, police attended Albion Park Rail train station after they received a call regarding intoxicated persons wandering around the station and onto the tracks.
Police sighted three young adults; a 22-year-old man from Berkeley, a 20-year-old female from Warrawong and a 24-year-old male from Warrawong at the station.
All appeared moderately affected by alcohol.
Police asked why they were on the railway tracks, to which they replied, “We were just mucking around, and wanted to try to get to the other side”.
All were given a move along direction.
Rail infringement notices of $400 were issued on the spot for crossing onto train tracks.
Man charged with PCA and drug offences
About 9.30pm on Thursday, June 26 police were patrolling Government Road, Warilla when they observed a car leave the driveway of the Ocean View Hotel.
That vehicle was stopped on New Lake Entrance Road, Warilla.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Kiama was subjected to a RBT which indicated a positive reading.
While being spoken to by police the accused produced a clear plastic resealable bag, which he said contained cannabis.
The accused was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station.
At the station he underwent a breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.081.
The driver was charged with mid-range PCA and possess prohibited drug.
He will appear at Port Kembla Local Court on August 13.
His driver’s licence was suspended.
Man to face court on stealing matters
A 22-year-old man from Albion Park Rail has been bail refused and will face Wollongong Local Court today after being charged with one count of stealing from a person and three counts of stealing from a retail store.
The incidents occurred from June 15-21.
The accused was arrested on June 21 after stealing a bag on a bus and then running from the scene.
Police were called and tracked the accused to premises in Ash Avenue, Albion Park Rail.
Police called to MVA at Shellharbour
About 2.10pm on Monday, two vehicles were stopped at traffic lights at the intersection of New Lake Entrance Drive and Madigan Avenue, Barrack Heights.
At that time another car travelling in the same direction has braked late and collided with the rear of one vehicle, causing that car to collide with the car in front.
The offending car was believed to be travelling at an estimated speed of 70 kilometres/hour just prior to the accident.
No persons were injured as a result of the accident.
Steal from motor vehicle – Gerringong
Between 7.30pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday, a Toyota Kluger 4WD was parked and secured in Jubilee Avenue, Gerringong.
Unknown persons gained entry to the vehicle by unknown means, stealing fishing rods, reels, surfboard and keys.
Also, between 11pm and 8am on June 30, unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked in the driveway in Archibald Road, Gerringong and taken the victim’s wallet.
Theft from motor vehicle – Kiama
Between 10am on Saturday and 7.30am on Sunday, a Lexus Station Wagon was parked and secured in Elanora Road, Kiama Heights.
Unknown persons removed and stole the rear vehicle plate.
There was no entry into the vehicle, and no damage to it.
Motor vehicle accident – Albion Park Rail
About 1pm on Saturday, a car was travelling in a southerly direction along the Princes Motorway, Albion Park Rail when the front port of the vehicle collided with the rear portion of the vehicle in front.
The front of the first vehicle collided with the tow bar of the second vehicle, which went straight through the radiator, causing extensive damage which required the first vehicle to be towed from the scene.
The second vehicle was able to be driven from the impact site.
A 14-year-old passenger from the offending vehicle was conveyed to Shellharbour Hospital for treatment.
The offending car was towed from the scene.
