The community came together at the SVES for an informal creative session last Friday night.
Etched on the walls of the art space were hundreds of different concepts on how to grow and develop the region’s Creative Shellharbour, Arts and Cultural Strategy.
The art space opened up to the public all weekend to collect a range of ideas on various arts, including music, film, performance, painting, sketching and more.
Mayor Marianne Saliba said the council had approached various schools and community groups previously to help build a strategic plan for the future of arts in the region.
“We are looking at all aspects of the arts and the idea is consider them all in developing a future direction for our region’s art works,” she said. “From this we will bring all the ideas together and put them into action. All the information collected by the community will come together in a report to go before council and then go to public exhibition.”
