A writing and publishing family history workshop will be held at the Kiama Family History Centre this Saturday, August 25 at 7 Railway Parade, Kiama. The next meeting for the 80th anniversary celebrations of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will take place on January 11 and 12, 2013. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith flew from the beach at Gerroa to New Plymouth in New Zealand. The next meeting of the Kiama Garden Club is Friday, August 24, 10.30am at North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre, Meehan Drive. Guest speaker is Paul Kirkpatrick of Estate Gardening, Jamberoo, who will give a talk on 'Norfolk Bounty'. Norfolk Island has a notorious history and amazing gardens. The bus trip and dolphin cruise has been cancelled.
