Blue marlin are still about off Sydney but no reports as yet off Kiama this week, although there was a good sized Blue tagged the previous weekend. With warm water currents still with us and Temps in 24 degree area out wide, no doubt there will be some Blues mixed in with the big Tigers! Better get the Marlin in quick!
On Kiama Canyons, Gemfish are being caught and some Mako's are also being hooked. Hapuku are also out on the deep drops but not on Canyons.
In close there have been reports of good snapper and some Whaler sharks feeding on cuttlefish with Kingfish also on the bite off Rangoon Island. Going a little wider in the 30-60fa reefs, bottom fishers are having problems with Leatherjackets but still managing a mixed bag of reefies. The Jackets are of course taking their toll on rigs!
