To Jamberoo’s credit they held Milton Ulladulla to a scoreless second half.
On a damp track both teams threw the ball around and showed that they will go a long way in the 2014 competition.
The oval was barely playable after torrential rain over recent weeks and in the seventh minute Taryn Love crossed in a handy position for fullback Ebony Murray to covert.
In the 12th minute Love made another clean break and was tagged just short of the line.
Milton were throwing the ball around with gay abandon and moving up on Jamberoo when they were in position.
Quick play the ball movements and good hands by Renee Byrne saw Milton Ulladulla finding gaps in the Jamberoo defence.
In the 17th minute Amy Austin crossed near the posts after some good lead up work by Page Hegyi and Jaylee Love.
Ebony Murray converted to put Milton in the lead 12/0.
The second half was scoreless and Renee Byrne crossed in the final minutes of play only to be called back for a play the ball.
Best were for Milton were Ebony Murray, Amy Austin and Renee Byrne.
This weekend the girls will take on competition leaders Berry at Bill Andriski Oval with the game commencing at 4.50pm.
Former dual Dally M Captain of the Year and coach of the side David Hatch said after the game that he was very happy with the performance of the team and the positive attitude which the girls display in preparation and on the field.
Berry are leading the competition and next Saturday evening's match up promised to be an entertaining fixture.

Under 18s
The Under 18s took the field full of running and after only two minutes Rory Smith scored a try for Nathan Brown to convert.
The Bulldogs soon realised that their opposition was understrength but during the contest undisciplined play saw Milton Ulladulla bomb some certain opportunities much to the frustration of coach Paul Love.
After 10 minutes with only nine men, Jamberoo's Luke Asquith scored near the posts with Luke Maples converting and evening the score.
Milton backs began to handle better and it was centre River Roberts who went in for Brown to again convert and extend the score to 12/6.
Milton Ulladulla's fullback Dwayne Longbottom was proving to be safe at fullback and a few minutes later he was rewarded with a try after some good support play.
Brown missing the conversion at 16/6.
Milton were able to extend Jamberoo with some wide play.
Jarrod Jackson found the defense in the scoreboard corner.
Nathan Brown converted and Milton Ulladulla went to a 22/6 lead.
Only three minutes later, in the 26th minute Harley Grundy crossed in the opposite corner for Brown to convert.
Milton's lead was looking unassailable but in the 33rd minute Kieren Gilly scored for the visitors for Luke Maples to convert.
28/12 was to be the final score ad a suspected back injury to Liam Baxter delayed play with the game being abandoned.
Later Jamberoo Club officials reported that Baxter's injury was not as serious as first thought.
Best for Milton Ulladulla were Nathan Browne, Rory Smith and Harley Grundy. Jamberoo were well served by Luke Asquith, Kieren Gilly and Liam Baxter.
Paul Love said after the game that his team needed to work on the 'one percenters' and build from there.
They played their Round 5 fixture on 23rd March and in Round 6 on May 4 will travel to Albion Park who are clear leaders of the competition.

Reserve Grade
In an exciting Reserve Grade fixture the Bulldogs went down 30/22 to a more disciplined Jamberoo.
Experience Referee Michael McGrath kept the game under control.
With the score locked at 6 all at half time the second half promised to be a tussle.
Piekar of Milton Ulladulla with 14 points did no harm to his leading position in the Group 7 point scoring.
Other front runners of Jamberoo, Brodie 2 tries and Schodde 5 goals are also at the top.
Another major contribution by Piekar was when the score was locked at 24/22 late in the game Ruddick made a length of the filed break and it was Piekar who tackled him from behind only ten metres out from the line.
Milton's Josh Pender was first to score in the match with Piekar converting in the 14th minute.
A minute before half time Zac Ruddick scored for Schodde to convert.
Returning from the sheds Adam Brodie scored after 2 minutes and Schodde again converted to put the visitors in the lead 12/6.
Mick Hinkley crossed in the 7th minute with the reliable Schodde converting giving Jamberoo a try converted try margin.
Milton Ulladulla's standout Piekar went over close to the posts and converted his own try. Milton Ulladulla were still in the game at 18/12.
During the 20th and 22nd minute referee McGrath had despatched 2 players and one from Jamberoo to the sin bin.
After a series of penalties Adam Brodie of Jamberoo crossed for his second try with Schodde converting to restore the 12 point differential in the 23rd minute.
In the 27th minute after returning from the sin bin Milton player Jade Tooth ran almost the length of the field to score a solo try which the ever reliable Piekar failed to convert.
With 3 minutes left on the clock the Milton forwards clicked and put Piekar through a gap. Piekar sped over and converted.
The Milton faithful were beside themselves and the Past Players rose as one a Piekars conversion went over with the Bulldogs down 24/22 with three minutes on the clock.
After a simple error Milton lost possession and it was Daniel Brigham who scored the final try for the visitors and the ever reliable Schodde converting.
The Bulldogs will next meet Berry at 6pm on Saturday at Bill Andriski.
Berry will be a totally different proposition to the side that played here in a trial earlier in the year.

The Bulldogs came up against Jamberoo the team who knocked them out of the elimination series last season.
The line-up was Tom Cook, Kirren Roughley, Adam Bliss, Lachlan Moore, Mitch Simington, Luke Young, Travis Young, Jamie Wills, Nick Goodman, Sam Cunningham, Blake Summerville, Brian Travis, Hayden Naylor, Scott D'Ombrain,Matt Cook , Jordan Baker and former Sydney Bulldog and Captain Gary Warburton.
The Bulldogs got away to a good start with speedster Mitch Simington crossing in the 2nd minute with Luke Young converting.
Youngster Kirren Roughley was in again after four minutes with Young missing the kick to give Milton a 10 point.
Milton appeared to be building momentum but toward the end of the half Mark Asquith on the half hour Mark Maslanka crossed and a few minutes later Matt Coehlo also scored for the visitors with Simon Maslanka converting both.
This passage of play saw the visitors go into the sheds with a 12/10 lead.
Milton Coach Gary Warburton would have stressed to his charges the importance of opening the scoring in the new stanza.
The lighter Milton forwards were feeling the pressure with Travis and Warburton defending stoutly.
With some quick ball by way of Jonno Dallas saw winger Ben Bernard cross in the 5th minute and again in the 7th.
The first try from a bomb and the second after bamboozling 4 Milton defenders.
Maslanka converted the first and missed the second attempt.
The Bulldogs were now chasing a 12 point lead.
On the 15th minute after some clever work by the Young brothers and Adam Bliss the hardworking Gary Warburton managed to score in a good position for Luke Young to convert.
This narrowed the lead to 6 points and lifted the local combination.
Milton were making good use of their bench but
Dallas was starting to create inroads in the centre of the field.
On the 18th minute Captain and lock forward Matt Coehlo crossed and two minutes later Josh Saunders the the Jamberoo hooker went in.
The deadly Simon Maslanka added the extras.
The deficit was now 18 points and the loyal and faithful were feeling and sounding despondent.
Not Lachie Moore , the Milton Ulladulla utility made a long and searching run to go in near the posts about 10 metres.
The kick for Luke Young was well within his range but was flagged away by both McGrath and Nolan.
With 16 minutes remaining the Bulldogs were now chasing 14 points.
After some good fortune for Jamberoo, Milton’s chances were made even harder when it was Jamberoo to score next via left centre Josh Champion. Bliss and Moore had bottled him up for most of the day.
Fortuitously the conversion attempt was waved away.
In true Bulldog spirit the last 6 minutes was all Milton.
With Tommy Cook who had had a blinder in the fullback position scored within in range for Luke Young.
Jamberoo 38, Milton 26.
Cook was at his best and doubled up a few minutes later for Young to convert again. Jamberoo 38, Milton 32.
Time ran out for the Bulldogs.
Although not disgraced by any means, the Dogs are injury free and have another home game on Saturday night at 7pm.
Berry Magpies will be no pushover.
Best for Milton were Tom Cook, Gary Warburton and Lachie Moore.
Jamberoo were best served by Jonno Dallas playing his 100th first grade game for his club, Coehlo and winger Barnard.
