Wet course holds up

THE aftermath of recent heavy rain on Gerringong Golf Course is still being felt.

The natural seepage spots are still weeping, no karts are permitted on the course and the mowers cannot get access.

Remarkably, the course has held up extremely well with much credit going to our ground staff.

Bob Emmett got off to a good start on Good Friday with a score of 38 winning points, and that was good enough to push Steve Miller into being runner-up after a countback.

Balls went to A. Clarke (36), B. Gillard (34) and M. Schibeci (33 pts). Nearest to Pins. 2nd T. Quinn, 8th M. Schibeci, 14th M. Schibeci.

Cronin's Liquor was our sponsor for Saturday's Stableford.

A three-way countback on 39 points was required to determine the eventual winner, with Michael Gleeson, Shaun Clay and Mark Schibeci filling the top three places.

Balls went to players who had 33 points or better. Nearest to Pins. 2nd K. Moore, 8th S. Clay, 15th Drive & Pitch G. Long, 14th T. Hussey, 18th R. Muir, 3rd Longest Drive B. Pearce.

Luke Taylor used the 18 holes on Sunday to burn off some of the Easter egg calories he had consumed.

Luke finished with 40 points. Balls went to Ian Wilcox (38) and Shaun Clay (37 pts). Nearest to Pins. 2nd T. Hussey, 8th S. Clay, 14th S. Clay.
