AFTER long delays on Thursday and gridlocks through the Kiama township, traffic is again inching down the coast on Good Friday.
Holiday makers are being urged to leave plenty of additional time and be patient during expected traffic delays.
At 12.40pm traffic at the Kiama Bends it was queued for 11km adding an extra 90 minutes travel time.
Lengthy delays can be expected as usual at Albion Park Rail, Kiama, Berry, Nowra, Milton/Ulladulla and Batemans Bay.
And if you're heading north, expect bottlenecks Hexham, Macksville, Coffs Harbour/Woolgoolga, Woodburn and Ewingsdale and to the south of Sydney
Traffic Commanders and extra emergency response resources will be in place at key locations to try to minimise delays.
Motorists are advised to plan their trip, take regular breaks, and take notice of electronic variable message signs which are on most of the major state roads and will indicate any incidents ahead.
Before setting out, motorists can also check www.livetraffic.com for information about the latest traffic conditions and any incidents that may affect their trip. Passengers can stay up to date with the Live Traffic mobile apps.
And don't forget double demerits were in place from midnight Thursday.
