The ladies made good use of every rink on Tuesday. They prevailed in their pennants competition against a twos team from Albion Park and a threes team from Windang. They also fitted in a social pairs game won by S. Brown and T. Mathews.
Unfortunately the pennants games on Thursday suffered a small setback when the threes were defeated by Dapto, but the twos beat Windang.
Just one game, round three of the major singles, was able to be played this week and M. Ganderton defeated J. Nisbet 32-18.
Another 20 bowlers vie for a slot in the next round of this prestigious club competition on Sunday, weather permitting.
In social games we are now able to accommodate everyone who wishes to play, with all rinks available and Wednesday triples games featured T. Bartrim, K. Bratby and A. Morgan declared winners.
Runners-up were C. Storer, T. McGinness and W. Montefiore.
Thursday pairs were back with a vengeance and there were some close games. However, there can only be one winner, and A. Van Zanen and N. Tylee prevailed with P. Bragaa and T. Martin declared runners-up.
Nominations for the ladies club singles championship close on April 10 and sheets are on the noticeboard for entries to the ever popular regional mixed pennants competition that starts on May 12.
