Ford won the under-9 boys' 800 metres at last week's NSW Little Athletics State Track and Field Championships in Sydney.
Ford was one of ten Kiama athletes at the meeting and set his own personal-best in his heat with a cracking 2:36 on Saturday. He returned the next day to run 2:32.46, winning the final by 15 metres and breaking the state record by more than a second.
A number of personal bests were set at Homebush over three days of competition.
In the under-9 girls, Eliza Schweitzer reached the final of the 60-metre hurdles. Georgia Richards also made the final of the under-10 girls' 800 metres and 1500 metres.
Naomi Robinson once again provided inspiration for others competing in the girls' 15-17 AWD.
Congratulations also to Samuel Aubin, Ewan Bell, Dylan Egan, Millie Mansfield, Georgia Richards and Tyrell Taione for mixing it with the best in the state.
They will receive club representative jackets for their efforts.
The club's presentation night will be on Friday at the Kiama Leisure Centre, with the tiny tots presentations at 5pm and other age groups from 5.30pm.
