The draft plan combines the current individual plans for Jones Beach and Cathedral Rocks into one. Residents involved in the council's working party assisted the development of the draft.
After the submission period closes, the council will consider the responses received for adoption in the final plan.
The council adopted the current plans of management in 2001. In February 2013, the council decided to review the plans. Following this decision, the council hosted two public information evenings, and called for expressions of interest for community members to assist with forming a working party to help the council with the review.
The draft plan will be available from www.kiama.nsw.gov.au or the council's administration centre at 11 Manning Street, Kiama. The exhibition period will run until April 29. Submissions will be accepted until 4pm that day.
