Mr Magnus said he expected the club would make a profit of about $9500 on the day and while the "Spare a Kiss for MS" didn't break any world records, Mr Magnus was still pleased with the overall result.
"We were blessed with a beautiful day and while only 54 couples actually registered for the 'kiss' event, we would probably have had around 100 couples take part.
"Police estimated a crowd of between 4500 and 5500 during the day and we managed to sell out of food and the stall-holders and carnival ride people were delighted with the day."
Considering there were other events last weekend, it was successful and something to build on.
