With Channel 7s Sunrise Show broadcasting from ‘somewhere in the Pacific’, crowds gathered from early morning, with rumours the boat was stuck on a reef surfacing when the boat was still anchored there after 11am.
Calls to police and Marine Rescue confirmed the scuttlebutt as Chinese Whispers and ensuring nice plugs for P&O and Sunrise.
Local business, Kostalota had a busy time ferrying Justice Crew and the Sunrise crew off the boat and they then enjoyed fish and chips before heading back to Sydney.
The show obviously loves Kiama, as it is the second time this week they have visited, with Eddie Bartholomew presenting the weather from Kiama Harbour last Tuesday.
