NAROOMA: Pumice pebbles washed up at Narooma are covered with barnacles and sea life indicating they’ve been in the water for months and months. The pumice on Far South Coast beaches came all the way from an undersea volcano that erupted north of NZ in 2012.
BERMAGUI: Opponents of the proposed Woolworths at Bermagui gathered at the supermarket site on Sunday with lots of signs and songs to sing.
BERMAGUI: Jane Coates, owner of The Pineapple House, and Helen Morris, visual artist of Bermagui, with Umbrella 2 from “Umbrellas of Bermagui”, an initiative by the Bermagui Seaside Fair to raise money for the long awaited local skate park.

COOMA: After 43 years of dedicated service to members and the community, the face – and voice – of the Cooma Ex-Services Club, Barry Agar, is retiring. He started work when a middy was only 18 cents. His is known for his oft-repeated words of wisdom – “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”
COOMA: A group of 10 young dancers from the Monaro Dance Centre in Cooma are among 5,000 performers from across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States competing in the Showcase National Dance Championships on the Gold Coast.

MORUYA: Construction is expected to start on the $50 million Summerhill retirement resort by the end of the year. The project has so far been delayed four years.
BROULEE: Eurobodalla Shire Council has adopted its final Broulee Beaches Landscape Masterplan, proposing improvements to the surf club precinct, as well as a skate park, extended pathways and more seating and parking.
