CONSIDERING the depth of talent on show for Gerringong Golf Club's Gold Medal Play-off on Saturday, Kevin Webb must feel pretty chuffed.

Webb was the ultimate winner after competing against 10 other players for this highly sought-after title.
The first of the New Year Monthly Medals was also played on Saturday, A-Grader Bob Emmett taking the honours with 68 nett.
Webb took out the B-Grade with 68 nett after a countback.
The runners-up in A and B-Grades were Bede Gillard and Michael Gleeson respectively, both with 69 nett.
Balls went to players who had 73 nett or better.
Nearest to Pins: 2nd T. Quinn, 8th M. Johnson, 10th N. Murray, 18th B. Gillard, 17th Longest Drive (A) J. Dinoia, (B) B. Carveth.
Michael Gleeson had a bit in reserve after carding 40 points to win Sunday's Stableford, which is below his usual standard. We know he will lift his game when the big events come along.
Bill Carveth came in as runner-up (limp-up to be more accurate) and did well to sign for 34 points carrying an injury. He will do as he is told by his wife in future.
Young Sam Matters won himself a ball for his 33 points.
Nearest to Pins: 2nd M. Gleeson, 8th S. Matters.
A great night was had by all who attended the appreciation supper for volunteers on Friday night.
Many thanks to the committee, their partners and many others who did such a terrific job organising the event.
Gerringong Golf Club president Geoff Manning made special mention of several members who have generously volunteered their time to the benefit of the club over a long period.
