Fifteen staff competed for the sought-after trophy, with Col Bennett edging out Alan Piper, Ryan Power, Matt Carter, Bernie Crane, Paul Murray, Norm Allison, former winner John Wilson, Adam Vaughan, Kane Graham, Brendan Pfister, Ryan Blanch, Arvid Vanags, Craig Costello and Warwick Arberry for the top award, judged by Mayor Brian Petschler.
Mr Bennett said it was a tremendous thrill to take the win against such good opposition.
"I worked really hard on my mo all month and am proud to win against such a high quality field for such a good cause and I will definitely be back bigger and better next year in an attempt to retain the trophy," Mr Bennett said.
"It gives me bragging rights for the whole year."
Organiser Alan Piper said he was delighted with the result and pleased so many staff got involved.
