ILLAWARRA Academy of Sport general manager Carolyn Dews will leave the IAS this week after two years in the position.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the IAS and feel that I have made a contribution to the ongoing success of the Academy in this region," she said.
"It has been a pleasure working with the IAS board, staff, sporting organisations and sponsors.
"The IAS is . . . making a significant contribution to the development of our young, talented athletes.
"I leave the Academy in a sound position and I am proud of the achievements made during this time, and feel extremely privileged to have been involved with IAS.
"I am now looking forward to pursuing other professional opportunities."
Academy president Brian Weir paid tribute to Dews's contribution as a board member and as general manager of the Academy of Sport.
He particularly noted her input in modernising the Academy's operations, which now provide an excellent platform for the organisation's development.
Weir wished her well in her future endeavours.
Athlete and Programs manager Shannon Fraser will assume the role of acting general manager for the foreseeable future.
