Author Matthew Quick never intended to be the ''mental health guy''. His 2008 debut novel The Silver Linings Playbook, which was made into an Oscar-winning movie, touched on issues such as depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety. But ''it was meant to be a book about American football, about the Philadelphia Eagles'', Quick says with a laugh.
