EMT Events will be bringing all the fun and excitement of monster trucks and for anyone who hasn’t seen one of their massive vehicles in action, don’t miss this opportunity.
Their trucks are the newest in Australia and while in the outside they look very different, underneath they are very similar, weighting 4.5 tonnes and standing three metres tall. These vehicles command attention – even standing still.
“They boast a Supercharged 540 cubic inch big block Chevvy motor which produces over 1500 horsepower running through a two-speed Hughes transmission,” promoter Rusty Bell said.
“It takes every bit of that monstrous power to turn the massive 66 inch wheels.
“The cost of the body of each machine is around $30,000 and the total cost of a Monster Truck is $250,000.
Their trucks all have individual names, Scooby Doo, The Convict, Revenge, Wicked, Extreme, Raptors Rampage and Freak and will be driven by some of the best Monster Truck drivers around, including Troy Garcia (Brisbane), Kreg Christensen (Salt Lake City, Utah), Jack Monkhouse (Sydney), Hayden Monkhouse (Sunshine Coast), Michael Long (Sydney) and Hayden Francis (Sydney).
“When the gates open on a typical EMT Monster Truck Show, families are wowed by the sheer presence of our machinery and the kids (both young and old) are invited to the Pit Party where they have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the trucks, Jetcars, stunt cars and bikes, as well as all the characters in the team,” Mr Bell said.
“Once the show starts it is three hours of non-stop high flying, car crushing fun, including the crowd favourite freestyle session and finishing with a ground-pounding Monster Truck Train.
“Other highlights include the FMX display, the crazy car stunt show and the Jet Car Show.”
Gates open at 2pm and the show officially kicks off at 4pm. Tickets are $40 for adults, $25 for children 3-11, $35 for children 12-15 or $115 for a family pass.
