The Schoolhouse opened last November as a tasting room for their home-grown tea and home-made cheese.
Owner of the European bistro The Blue Swimmer, Cortney Cantwell, agreed the inclusion of three eateries was good for the area. He said while it was good to be included, he and partner Caroline Read's focus, in what could a fickle industry, was good food, served well.
"Caroline and I are very humble and we do not brag about stuff," he said. "We don't advertise, but if people come in and are pleasantly surprised, then that's the way we like it.
"We make good food, with great service and have happy customers. It's a simple recipe but so many people get it wrong."
French-born Brando Carre said he was chuffed Blue Espresso Bar was featured after just over a year in business. The cafe also featured in the Australian Coffee Guide Top 100 for 2013.
"The aim was to bring really good coffee to Gerringong. I don't really go in for things like this [awards], but it's good to be appreciated," Mr Carre said.
