OAK Flats Falcons Football Club recently hosted their annual presentation in front of a full house.
After a welcome by president Joe Dimech, master of ceremonies Don Briggs took over the presentation of awards at the Oak Flats Bowling Club event.
The over-35s began proceedings by naming their achievement of the year - winning the amateur league championship for the first time - as well as calling on their award winners and leading goal-scorer. The girls followed, coach Rob Hudson praising all squad members for a great season. Youth grade has enjoyed a fantastic season, finishing second on the competition ladder.
The Rookie of the Year Trophy went to Justin Beregshasy. Best and Fairest was given to Jake Leighton as well as the trophy for the Players' Player, while the encouragement award was presented to Bryce Gilroy.
In reserve grade, the award for Best and Fairest went to Beau Armstrong and Players' Player to Even Fowler. In first grade, Best and Fairest was Brenton Lloyd and Players' Player Toby Napper.
Leading goal-scorer was Jackson Brooks and Supporters of the Year were Graeme Bausch and Marie Camilleri.
The highlight of the night was the presentation of the 150-year-old silver trophy to the Player of the Year, Toby Napper.
