RESIDENTS affected by the February tornadoes are being urged to contact Kiama Council staff member Michael Innes.
This week Kiama Council this week appointed Mr Innes as the Disaster Recovery Information Officer and he will be the primary point of call for residents .
Mr Innes available Monday to Friday during business hours to assist with questions or concerns, phone 4232 0540. All calls are strictly confidential and callers can remain anonymous if they choose to.
Since the storm, the council has received many calls seeking clarification on a variety of issues related to the storm, Kiama’s recovery efforts and organisations who can provide assistance after a disaster.
Mr Innes can provide information on Development Application matters, Leisure Centre closure, emergency assistance contacts, community welfare contacts and any other issue
The council advises that people booking Leisure Centre classes, which are temporarily located in alternative venues, should still call Kiama Council Customer Services on 4232 0444.
