The visitors produced a series of promising partnerships, opener Peter Quine top-scoring with 26.
However, a flurry of wickets to leg-spinner Jack Bennett (3/10) late in the day meant Gerringong/Jamberoo slumped to 6/84 at stumps.
Warilla Sports managed to keep their semi-final hopes alive during their match against The Rail at Croom Road.
Batting first, The Rail failed to fire and they were dismissed for 59.
Hayden Horne topped the batting with 20.
The Kookaburras crashed to 4/17, before finishing the day at 7/70.
They will be hoping to extend that buffer next week.
Tim Goodall and David Insley bowled well to take 4/42 and 3/14 respectively.
Shellharbour City was the shining light on a cloudy day for batting, registering a respectable 190 against competition leaders Oak Flats at Geoff Shaw Ovaland.
They will now be hoping to secure third spot with a win this Saturday.
