LIKE last week, Sunday's four-kilometre run of the Jamberoo Joggers developed into a tussle between Amanda Koorey and Leonie Shepstone.
However, the positions were reversed this week with Amanda crossing the line first and Leonie second.
As would be expected, after only two runs in the 20-week competition, Amanda and Leonie share the championship lead with the Pieman, Randall Harris, next on the ladder.
Jessica Ellis, who was having only her second run over the two-and-a-half-kilometre run, was a clear winner. The next home were Grace Mahon, Zeffani Koorey, Tahlia Koorey and Ellie Burnett.
The finish of the one-lap race could not have been any closer, with Ashleigh Ellis beating Talina Mion by a half-head and Annique Burnett third.
All are welcome to join the handicapped run each Sunday at Kevin Walsh Oval at 5.30pm.
