Antiques fair great fun for good causes

KIAMA Rotary's 22nd Annual Antiques and Collectables Charity Fair is one of the biggest and best-supported events on the social calendar.

It will be held at the Kiama Leisure Centre this weekend, January 18-20.

Local, Sydney, country and interstate dealers will offer a wide selection of furniture, jewellery, silver, china, porcelain, textiles, books, toys, Asian antiques and many other interesting collectables at the largest such fair on the South Coast.

Club spokesman John Worstencroft said the event will open with a gala reception and preview on Friday night from 6.30pm.

"Friday's admission is $20 per person available at the door and the entry fee includes light refreshments and wine," he said.

"The preview provides patrons with the first opportunity to view and purchase items from the wide selection, and lucky door prizes will also be available for those attending.".

The fair will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Entry for each day is $10 per person and $6 for concessions, with accompanied children free.

Patrons will be able to have their own antique and collectable goods valued on both days for $5 per item and the club will also sell items on a commission basis for patrons.

Anyone interested can contact Mr Worstencroft on 0419 002 655.

The Antique and Collectables Charity Fair is Kiama Rotary's primary fund-raising event of the year and funds raised go to the many worthwhile projects supported by Rotary.

The club will make and be collecting donations for victims of the Tasmanian bushfires at the fair.

"Don't miss this great opportunity to spoil yourself or to buy something for that special someone."
