Manning gets medal

GEOFF Manning has already realised one of his New Year resolutions by winning a monthly medal, which has eluded him for a couple of years.

Geoff had a net of 65 with his fellow B Grader, Max Kowalczuk, taking out the runner-up spot with 68 net. Shaun Clay dominated the A-Grade ranks with 69 net, with Barney Gillard slotting into the runner-up position with 74 net. Balls went to players who had 75 net or better.

A large field contested the nine-hole Chook Run on Thursday with Peter Rush (21 pts) and Anne Godfrey (20) the winners. The minor positions went to Kim Bailey (20) and Barry Watkin (20). Balls went to Lola Scott, Ron Quinn, Russell Ford jnr and Max Kowalczuk.
