Representatives from the International Healthy Cities Alliance have responded well to Kiama Council’s health plan, recognising its value on a global level. At the Healthy Cities Mayor Forum held last week in Hangzhou, China, Deputy Mayor Ben van der Wijngaart delivered a speech on the council’s health initiatives, which helped them to achieve their “Healthy City” status. He was surprised with the response from members of the alliance.
