In the biggest comeback ever, Gerringong downed Kiama Saturday at Chittick Oval.

The Knights led 16-nil at the break before a rousing halftime speech put some fire in Gerringong's bellies.

Gerringong came out all guns blazing in the second half piling on 24 points.

Cheered on by an injured Hunter Auzins on the sidelines, Justin Schmidt, Liam Turner and Dom Littrich tackled like never before this season.

Tom Dormer-Hughes, Harry Phillips and pocket dynamo Cody Winzer, weaved through the defence.

Abel Wilson and Travis Elliot steered the ball cleverly out to speedsters Ash Dallow and Alec Brooks, both of whom were rewarded with brilliant tries.

Jesse Chittick and Jarred Stott took the ball up hard and straight with Jayden Masterton and Rhys Brown there in support.

Jake Taylor gave his all and bagged a great try.

Jake, Jarred, Ash and Abel all kicked conversions.

Gerringong had a full compliment for the first time in 2007, welcoming back Henry Pring and Aaron Cox.

As they were "?overstocked' the Lions lent the Shellharbour side three players for each third of the game.

Taj Ladkin skilfully passed the ball to Nathan Tiyce who scored the Lions' first try.

Henry Pring's first run saw him gain good ground while Jarroce Tiarone was a formidable force for the opposition, smashing through the Lion's defence.

The second third saw Lachlan Rosa and Jaimie Reay team up to put on some big hits.

Braiden Smith, Tyron Wishart and Josh Aliston displayed their usual tenacity in attack.

The Lions scored their second try when Lachlan forged forward, and palmed his way through the opposition. He also converted with a well-taken kick.

Dillon Arnold played like a dynamo for Shellharbour in the second third, barging his way through the Gerringong defence, scoring a beautiful try, which he converted.

In the first minute of the final third, Reilly Buddle scored for Gerringong.

Angus Farrell, Clayton Condon, Bradley Schmit and Aaron Cox were never far from the action.

A late try to Shellharbour saw the visitors steal the points, 18-16.

It was great to see the boys play for the love of the game, no matter which side they were on.

The Scoops ice cream award went to Reilly Buddle for a consistent match.

The coaches award went to Jaimie Reay for a terrific effort.
