POLLING places for voters in the Kiama Independent readership area will be open for voting on Election Day, Saturday, from 8am to 6pm. Polling places for Gilmore electorate voters are: • Berry Gateway Uniting Church, Albert St. • Gerringong Town Hall, Fern St, and Mayflower Village, Belinda St. • Gerroa Neighbourhood Centre, 37 Stafford St. • Kiama High School, Saddleback Mountain Rd, and Kiama Showground Pavilion, Bong Bong St. • Werri Beach Progress Association Hall, Pacific Ave, Werri Beach. Polling places for Throsby voters include: • Jamberoo Municipal Hall, North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre and Minnamurra Public School. For a full list of polling places in the local area, including the wheelchair accessible polling places, visit the Australian Electoral Commission’s website at www.aec.gov.au or call 132 326. Australian Electoral Commission manager for NSW Tom Rogers said electors would be voting in the House of Representatives election and Senate election. “An online ‘how to vote practice tool’ at www.aec.gov.au is available to guide electors, especially those voting for the first time, on how to complete their ballot papers correctly,” he said.
