Gerringong five-eight Patrick Cronin about to break free of the Warriors defence on the weekend.

SECOND-PLACED Nowra Warriors are back with a vengeance, one week after a 64-point hiding from the Eagles thanks to an impressive 32-6 win over Gerringong at Nowra Showground on Sunday.

The Warriors, thumped 74-10 one week before, took their frustrations out on the shell-shocked Lions, who have slipped out of the top five and face the Eagles next week.

Nowra built their lead around a ruthless first half performance that saw them take a 20-nil lead to the break.

They continued their workmanlike performance in the second stanza, running out comfortable winners.

Tom Hewson bagged a double for the Warriors, while Leigh Ardler scored a try and potted six goals.

Mick Blattner and Billy Brown set the platform for the Warriors, while centre Leigh Ardler was dangerous out wide.

Daniel Gleeson and Justin OHare never stopped trying for the Lions.
