Being one of the first games to use the new Wii Motion Plus, you can play with or without it, but what the accessory does is it makes the controls more sensitive and realistic with no lag whatsoever making the entire game that much more enjoyable.
Up to four players can play in single and double matches (providing you have enough room to swing), through quarter, semi’s an finals in Tournament, or just a quick single match in Exhibition or compete as a single player in 5 matches to take out the Arcade trophy.
The main mode of play though is the World Tour where you customize your player and make you way up the ranks to become the best in the world.
There are also twelve mini games to play, which improve your game and make for some amusing extra fun in the process. The person making the game obviously thought that tennis wasn’t enough and thought “hey wouldn’t it be fun if the court turns into a oversized pool table or even better turn the Tennis ball into a bowling ball to play a bit of cross Tennis Ten pin bowling.
Various online multiplayer options are also available if you have your Wii connected online.
